NAMI Family Support Group
The NAMI Family Support Group model (formerly called the “Family-to-Family Support Group model”) operates differently than other, more traditional “share-and-care” groups. The NAMI Family Support Group model offers a set of key structures and group processes for facilitators to use in common support group scenarios. These structures come with clear guidelines to follow; used together, they encourage full group participation in support group meetings.
The NAMI Family Support Group is for adults with children, spouses, siblings, or friends living with a mental illness. The group is led by NAMI-trained volunteers. Come share your experiences and learn from others in a supportive, understanding, accepting, and confidential environment. Attendees understand what you are going through because they have been there too.
These meetings are normally help as in-person meetings but because of the coronavirus outbreak we will be developing an online version of the meeting. Click here for schedules and details on our progress.
